The linked documents on The Academy Website will generally be of three types:

PDF files, also known as Adobe Reader files. The software for this type of file can be downloaded at the Adobe Reader Download  Page.

DOC files, also known as Microsoft Word files. These can be opened with Microsoft Word which is part of Microsoft Office or  with a free office suite called Open Office.

XLS files, also known as Microsoft Excel files are spreadsheets. These can be opened with Microsoft Excel which is part of Microsoft Office or  with a free office suite called Open Office.

If you are bandwidth limited (on dial up) feel free to come down to the computer lab and we would be happy to burn a CD for you containing the free applications.
